Enhancing Your Cruise Experience
With Spring fast approaching and hopefully better weather ahead, it’s the time of the year when many of our clients may be planning and organising summer trips. Cruises are becoming increasing popular with more and more people choosing to take to the seas for their holidays. Despite the set back of the COVID-19 pandemic, many cruise lines have begun to recover and are ready to take passengers on with increased safety protocols and innovation in the onboard experience.
Most notable may be Virgin Voyages who promise to deliver a completely different cruise experience than what you might be used to and who received Travel + Leisure’s award for being one of the Best Cruise Lines in 2022. With many great vessels launching and setting sail, it’s no surprise that cruises are becoming as popular as they are.
The number of shore excursions booked by cruise passengers also continues to rise, with many opting for cultural experiences and outdoor activities. Cruise excursions are an important aspect of the cruise experience, as they allow passengers to explore the destinations they visit in a safe and organised manner. These excursions can range from guided tours of historical sites, to adventurous activities such as hiking or kayaking. In the UK and Ireland, there are a variety of popular cruise destinations that offer a wide range of excursions. For example, in Dublin, passengers can take a guided tour of the Guinness Storehouse or visit the historic Trinity College. In Southampton, passengers can explore the medieval city of Winchester or take a trip to the iconic Stonehenge.
This is where INTX fits into your cruise journey and can be a valuable asset to ensuring your cruise experience goes as smoothly as possible. This summer we will be working with one of our clients to travel across ten ports over eleven days. We will be ensuring that the ten coaches required for the 4 hour tour guides in various cities are expertly coordinated to ensure our clients’ travel itinerary is adhered to. We will also be coordinating a shuttle service between the town centres and the ship for passengers who would like to venture into the cities by themselves. As our main goal is to always make our clients’ experience easier, we will also be providing two members of our team who will travel with our clients as part of their booking team to be able to respond to any issues and changes immediately.
Our coverage of the UK and Ireland places us in a unique and valuable position for those looking to coordinate transport for cruises as we are able to utilise our experience to ensure each stop on the cruise is a memorable one for passengers. As the popularity of cruising continues to grow, it is likely that the number of cruise visits and excursions will also increase and we are proud to be an asset to our cruise clients who would like their shore transport coordinated so that they have one less thing to worry about.
